Our Purpose

At the East Sooke Community Garden Society, we aim to foster local food security and protect our ecosystem. Our regenerative space brings our community together to enhance our health, well-being and connection to nature.  We are building a beautiful place for everyone to enjoy!

Volunteer Opportunities

Our garden society is completely run by volunteers so there are many opportunities to contribute to our collective success such as: growing food for our food bank, removing invasive species,  teaching regenerative gardening and offering donations.  To see a full list of our volunteer opportunities please contact us. Together we can make a difference.

Bringing Our Garden to Life

Our Sincere
Gratitude

We would like to express our enormous gratitude to the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue for the 5 acre licensing agreement of their ALR land to us (free license in 2024). We appreciate their tremendous support in partnering with us so we can bring this unused land to fruition. They have been absolutely wonderful to work with!

A big thank you to the CRD (our regional director, Al Wickheim and staff) for their huge support in the Grant-in-aide they provided.  It was essential for irrigation and fencing!

As well, the Sooke Food Chi has been so supportive as an umbrella organization while we have been getting set up into our own society.

There are SO many people to thank including all our phenomenal volunteers!
